How to Build Business Relationships with Social Media This Valentine's Day

February 12, 2014

1. Spend time listening to your audience.

3. Set goals and dedicate time to them.

Part of building relationships is investing time in them. Besides publishing updates and responding to questions and comments on your own social media pages, set goals to take time to proactively initiate conversations as well. You may set a goal to reach out to 10 people a week on social media who are discussing a product or service that might help solve their problem. By creating goals, you are setting yourself up to continuously move forward. People will remember the time you took to answer their question, or to give them advice. You just may end up gaining a new customer who will be happy to share their positive experiences with the next person who asks them about that same issue.

Social media marketing can be a great way to listen, reach out to, and connect with your customer base.
