Keeping Offline and Online Branding Consistent

The importance of having a consistent message should never be overlooked. Especially when it comes to your website. Recognition that carries over from print or traditional media to the Internet will greatly strengthen your branding and can result in brand recognition or perhaps the beginning of brand loyalty.

If you are planning to update the your website design in the near future, here are some points to keep in mind to help ensure your message is clear and consistent:

1. Are you basing your website design off of existing marketing materials or vise versa?

If you have boxes of already printed materials, this may be a very easy question to answer. On the other hand, if you are going to have the website designed first then create your print material, your Orlando web development company will have much more flexibility in the design. This is basically a question of if you're changing your current look or if you are only updating technology. It really depends of the goal you have for your new website as to what if best for your business.

2. Do you already have a recognizable brand?

Even if you have a recognizable brand, it may still be a good idea to give your website a facelift if it more than a few years old as styles and user interactions evolve. Keeping your colors and logo will keep your major branding in line with what you currently have while a fresh design could make your website even easier for your customers to navigate and enhance your brand.

3. “Link” your various marketing materials.

This means referencing your website within your print materials and including PDFs or web pages of offline ads. This will help bring your customers full circle. It will make your company look bigger than it may be and gives a sense of continuity. We mentioned in a previous post how to include tracking URLs to your offline marketing efforts as to better track your ROI for each piece.
