We’ve told you before that Pinterest can be a great marketing tool for your company. But are you using it properly? There are a few ways that you can use Pinterest in order to attract customers to your site and make conversions.
Think About Your Ideal Client
Think about what kind of visual content would attract them - would it be a photo of a beautiful beach for a timeshare company, or an infographic about the current job market for a job placement company? The photo attached to your pin is the hook - but it’s more than just those photos that make your Pinterest account a successful business tool.
Link to Products
Research has indicated that over 20% of people have purchased something that they have seen on a Pinboard. Make things easy on them - if you are pinning something that is available to buy online, make sure that the photo links to the page that it is available on. If the item is not available to purchase online, make sure that they are linked to a page where they can easily figure out the best place to purchase it at - whether that be your contact information, or the location of your store.
Complete Your Profile, Not Just Pins
Make sure to set up your Pinterest account properly - many people just pay attention to their individual pins and not the account as a whole. You should fill out your profile completely, including a profile picture, link to your site, and brief description of who you are and what you do. You should also properly organize your pin boards - that way if anyone is going on your Pinterest user page, they will easily be able to find what they are looking for.
